The Thunder Road Classic is open to all USYSA and US Club Soccer affiliated teams who are in good standing with their state associations, USYSA and US Club Soccer.  All classic and athena teams, ages U-9 through U-19 are eligible to enter.  U-9 and U-10 age groups will play 6-a-side, U-11 and U-12 will play 8-a-side and all other age groups will play 11-a-side.  Separate playing divisions will be held to insure competitive matches.  A maximum of 3 guest players per team will be permitted.  The tournament committee reserves the right to combine age groups (by 1 year only) if an insufficient number of teams register to form a single year age group.

 

All teams, weather permitting, will be guaranteed 3 matches -- two on Saturday and one on Sunday. Finals will be played Sunday afternoon.

 

The Thunder Road Classic will abide by all AYSA rules with the following exceptions:  1) Three guest players will be allowed per team and 2) Matches in U-10 through U-14 age groups will consist of 30-minute halves, U-15 and older age groups will play 35-minute halves.  For a complete copy of tournament rules, please click the RULES link on left.

There will be individual player awards for first and second place teams in each division, as well as a team trophy to be presented to the coach of the champion and runner up teams.  All participating players will receive an official tournament patch.  Exchange of club patches between competing teams is encouraged.

 

Refunds will not be given for games canceled or revised due to inclement weather.

 

All teams must register on Friday, August 24, from 2:00 until 10:00 p.m. in Auburn at The Hotel at Auburn University. There will be NO Saturday registration.  The documentation required for registration can be found at the REQUIRED DOCUMENTATION link at the left.
