We are very excited and proud to invite you and your team to the First Annual Columbus Spring Kickoff hosted by the Columbus Youth Soccer Club and directed by Jay Wingo of Near Post Soccer.
All matches will be played at the Woodruff Farm Complex in Columbus, Georgia. This complex is one of the best and largest in the southeast. It has hosted the Region III Championship’s in the past and will host the Region III President’s Cup in 2008. With 11 full-sized fields, it will easily host all matches of this year’s Columbus Kickoff. Why not this time - park once and watch all your matches at one complex. Our complex will make it much easier for coaches and families to see all their players matches without driving from one complex to another.
We are planning on 100 teams in the age groups of U-9 through U-14 for both boys and girls. Our outstanding facility and location will allow us to attract quality teams from Georgia, Florida, Alabama, Mississippi and Tennessee. This great variety of teams means that teams attending the Columbus Spring Kickoff will be able to play competitive matches against teams at their same level from other areas that they do not regularly play against.
In addition to our outstanding facilities and location, we are also fortunate to have a large pool of friendly, knowledgeable volunteers who have helped run other major soccer events such as the GYSA Open Cup and Region III Championships. These volunteers will be led by Near Post staff who currently direct 9 other youth events. Our tournament staff is dedicated to helping insure your tournament experience is second to none, from start to finish.
Outstanding facilities, excellent location and a tremendous tournament staff of friendly, experienced volunteers expertly directed by Near Post Soccer will help guarantee you and your team a great weekend of soccer. Please plan to join us so that you can park once and enjoy watching soccer instead of spending your day driving between different soccer complexes.
