The Lake Lanier 3v3 and Keeper Wars Challenge will be played Saturday, August 7th and Sunday August 8th at the Allen creek Soccer Complex in Gainesville, Georgia.  This event is directed by Jay Wingo of Near Post Soccer and co-hosted by the Allen Creek Soccer Complex and the Lanier Soccer Association.

We are very excited to hold our event at the Allen Creek Complex. It is one of the nicest soccer complexes in the southeast and with its close proximity to north Atlanta clubs like AFU, Forsyth Fusion, Norcross and Alpharetta we will be able to draw a large number of teams locally which will in turn attract out of area teams. 

The Lake Lanier 3v3 tournament is open to boys and girls players and teams in the U-8 through U-17 age groups.    We are offering 3 levels in each age group so we will have a spot that fits all teams that apply. All teams will be guaranteed 3 matches and possibly a 4th if they advance. Team entry fee is $125 and online application is highly recommended.

The Lake Lanier 3v3 Challenge is an official Challenge Sports 3v3 National Qualifying event for the National Championships at Disney’s Wide World of Sports Complex. Division champions and finalists at the Lake Lanier 3v3 earn a berth in the National Championships. 

As an added feature, we are offering a clinic and "Keeper Wars" competition for U-10 through U-17 goalkeepers. The hour long clinic,(10:30 - 11:30) will precede the GK competition. After a brief rest, keepers will be placed in appropriate competitive groups to compete against each other in "Keeper Wars". Goalkeepers will try to score on each other by kicking, punting and/or throwing the ball while the other keeper attempts to stop the shots. We are very excited and proud to be the first 3v3 to include this tremendously beneficial activity for GK’s. Cost for the clinic and "Keeper Wars" is $30 per keeper.

Goalkeepers will be allowed to participate in both the 3v3 and "Keeper Wars". Every effort will be made to schedule around both events but teams with GK’s will need to plan that their GK may miss their middle match due to conflict.
